Above is the potential front cover of my magazine. Using photoshop I wanted to balance the use of colour to make the magazine appealing. I learnt the importance of cover lines as they give the audience a first opinion of the magazine. When creating this front cover I became aware how easy it is to use to much text or how using to little text and having a simply an image can make the cover borrowing. I am happy with the outcome of my front cover however I am open to advice and any further improvements that could be made.
i think the title font goes well with the font for the cover line and i think the background of part of the school makes you think the magazine will be realitable.
ReplyDeleteI like the bottom half a lot. I think the top feels a little empty. What about adding date/issue number and the name of the school to your masthead? (very small!). Top ten reveision tips looks a bit lonely at the top - maybe add a bit more? Also no question mark on the Uni quiz coverline.
